3D Printing and Reverse Engineering in the Food and Beverage Industry
Tuesday, May 5, 2026
11:45 AM - 12:15 PM (CDT)

This session provides a comprehensive overview of additive manufacturing (3D printing) and its transformative role in the modern food processing industry. Participants will gain a solid understanding of core 3D printing principles and technologies, with a targeted focus on those best suited for food production environments.  The session will also introduce reverse engineering techniques—using 3D scanning to capture existing components, generate printable digital models, and reproduce or improve obsolete, hard-to-source, or wear-prone parts.
